Revive Indonesia

Revive Indonesia, (RI) a 501c3 nonprofit corporation, is bringing the Word of God to Indonesia, frequently working through Indonesian Christian churches. RI itself grew from the missionary outreach of Revival Christian Fellowship (a Calvary Chapel) in Menifee, California. Today, support for RI comes from numerous U.S. congregations as well as friends and family of the full time mission staff.

In Indonesia, Revive Indonesia has conducted outreach and worked with churches and villages on Bali, Sumba and most recently, in the Aceh Province on Sumatra. Aceh was closed to outsiders until the December 2004 tsunami, but since that, Revive Indonesia and others have done a great deal of work in the area.

In particular, RI has adopted an island off the coast of Banda Aceh. The island had 11 villages and over 7,000 people living there before the tsunami. Over half of the people and all the villages were lost in the disaster. In addition, a great deal of work has been done on the island of Nias, which was destroyed by a March 2005 earthquake and where RI donations are helping rebuild the island’s largest church and assist in the rebuilding of others.
